Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Is the Dome room bigger or smaller than the Penthouse? And what are/ were the numbers of people you had in your JT room for your wedding?
Thanks.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Does anyone know the timelines for when I need to contact JT? I've basically not spoken to anyone there since I booked it a year ago...My dad just sends the check every month, and they cash it, so at least I know it's still booked!

I don't even know who my BM is!?!?!

I'm just wondering if I should be confirming stuff with them...or if I should be making appointments for tastings or something...

Any advice?

Well you should definitely find out who your BM is! I HIGHLY recommend Mike Closs. He is beyond amazing!

Once you know who your BM is, set an appointment to meet them and have a tasting. Then you can call (I called at least 2X a week!) whenever you have a question and speak to your BM.

As far as planning goes (and confirming), you still have time. Nothing is due right now. Crunch time is really 3 months before the wedding. So you're good. But definitely set up a meet and greet with your BM and a tasting. Also, make sure everything that was promised to you is in your contract. I can't stress this enough!! The day of your wedding, the Maitre 'D will use the contract as his 'cheat sheet' so if it's not there, you ain't getting it. Point blank. Promises mean nothing if they're not on paper. My day was flawless because of this. Make sure everything is written down. If something was promised (an extra station at CH, dessert, chair covers, time, ANYTHING) and it's not on the contract as of now, call and speak to your BM and go by and have them add it. This is beyond important!

Good luck!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

one good for Chad, one bad... Not everyone can have Mike Closs.... Ladies... please... I need some help here. I'm doing most of the research for the wedding. Anyone have anything else to say about about this??

Also I've read alot of posts about people calling their BM to ask questions or change things in the contract. What questions are you asking, what are you adding/ changing? After you sign your contract I can't see them adding anything~ unless your paying for it. They already have the comittment.
Please share some insight.
Thanks

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Wehn I went in I had Vincent for the first time. The second time I went in to book my date I had Chad. We bargained a lot with him, and he cut us breaks. I personally did not have any problems with Chad. The next time I went I soke to Anthony, because Chad or Vincent was not there. I had to change the time I wanted the cocktail hour. They gave me no problem, they just amended the contract. I've had not had any kind of problems...

He seems nice enough. But after hearing people complain about their BM... I just wanted to double check.

Thanks.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Hi girls! I don't know how to search the 30 pages of this thread efficiently, so I'm just going to ask (even if this has been posted before):

If you had a chocolate fountain, how much did it cost? I've heard some prices but can't remember, and now FMIL is paying for our chocolate fountain!

Thanks!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I don't know the answer to the chocolate fountain thing (sorry!) since I am possibly the biggest deadbeat bride ever. I honestly have no clue what I'm doing.

So, my question of the day is;

Does anyone have a picture of the chaircovers at JT? I don't know if I want to pay for those covers or just bring in my own chairs. Their chairs are kind of a weird shape, so I want to make sure that the covers don't look weird. Also, does anyone know if JT will allow me to bring in my own chairs?

I could probably ask my BM all of this stuff, but since I still don't know who my BM is, I figured I'd ask you guys...

We asked the last time we went there....

Chocolate Fountain alone was $5pp
Mini Viennese was $10pp, but that included the Chocolate Fountain
Full Viennese is $15pp which also includes the Chocolate Fountain

FH and I looked at each other and said 'let them eat cake!'

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

$5pp! Hopefully if we add it later we can get the price down. FILs are paying for it, but we still want the price to be reasonable.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

We are using the Wingate Inn and if you have 15 or more rooms reserved for the wedding night the shuttle bus is free, if not it is like $70.00 each way and one bus holds 16 people.

Oh..the rooms were $139
