Re: 'Official' New York City Brides' thread
We are getting married at the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains. It is about 15 minutes from Glen Island. We usually rent a car when we have gone up there because we usually try to do a bunch of things. How do you get around up there if you take the train?

Im UES too!!!! I cant find jewelery that I like anywhere I wound up buying earings at Saks but I am not sure Im going to use them. I have to take them to my fitting on friday!!!
Can you guys recommend wedding/craft shops for miscellaneous items in Manhattan?
I have nowhere else to shop for wedding items so I've visited Saks multiple times already. I end up buying nothing for the wedding but walk out with a lot of other stuff!
The Wedding Library (Saks) quoted me $91 per invitation! Insane!
What are you looking for? Fabric? ribbon? there is always kates paperie for paper stuff/. I am not sure what you are looking for

Try kate's paperie for invites!
Also for ribbons and stuff like that, walk around the garment district. Like 38th, 39th streets between 5th and Broadway. I've gone pass a few cool stores.
And if you need flower ideas, check out the flower district -- 28th street between 7th and 6th ave.
