oheka castle

Just wondering if anyone has input on the Oheka Castle in huntington. I've been on the web site and drove up to the place but have not yet gone in. Thanks.

oheka castle

yes i saw it on television......on the lifetime channel....."weddings of a lifetime".....it looked fabulous....but then again it was decorated by "jack & rose" florists in woodbury....i've heard their one of the best!.....lots of breathtaking flowers that were jumping out of my television set....colors were perfect for the oheka which i guess has to be set just perfectly.....i couldn't taste the food on t.v. obviously, and true i didn't see the service nor did they discuss the price...(i heard its very expensive)....but the outside was gorgeous, and jack & rose made the inside nicer than i've ever seen in a wedding.....the guests/family/ bride and groom looked so pretty....they had a chuppa in the library that was the most lucious i've ever seen....i recommend that you check out jack & rose and the oheka.....

I got a price quote fron James Cress that was simply outrageous! He wouldn't even meet with us personally, we met with an assistant. My Aunt only uses him exclusively. I have to say some of his pieces(that I have received personally) have been off like any other place :)

I have been to a wedding at oheka. The place is beautiful. The food was good too. The only thing I didn't like was at the wedding I was at the food was not served like a dinner. You walked around the various rooms to stations. I personally didn't like that. If you going to pay that much money from what I understand it's expensive I want to be seved. Just my opinion. The food was good however and the place is ver nice

What is everyone's opinion about sending out "save the date" cards? Has anyone done this; when is an appropriate time to do so? Any info would be helpful. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Oheka is beautiful but I am not sure of your price range. I think the fee p/p starts at $175. You also need to pay a site fee which I think is $8000-$10,000. There have been other postings on here from brides who went to look at Oheka. Good Luck!!

Good luck, Stephanie

He spent over 2.5 hours talking to me just about the details of my wedding!

That is just because the bride of the wedding you went to requested it that way. I went to a sit down dinner there, the cocktail hour was buffet style in a seperate room. The food was amazing and I especially loved the after hours jazz and cigars in the library. We will never forget that wedding!!

Its not a Marriott, but its not Howard Johnsons.

We stayed there when our company Christmas party was at the Cresent in Bayville.

I went to see it a few times and LOVED it. It is the most perfect setting-a true fairy tale wedding. However, the prices are astronomical. Including the site fee and per person charge, ++, it looked like $280/person.

Otherwise, Culture Club in NYC, which plays fun 80s music.

No need to be paranoid.......just aware. : )
