Has anyone negotiated their buyout rates lower? Or any of the room rates lower? You can FM me if you want. Thanks!

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
Live sushi guy rolling? Awesome! We were able to get an extra half hour for the cocktail hour, two rooms for our parents comped, and great prices for both the wedding and rooms.
I'd suggest Couped Up for great video at a good price.
I was also told we wouldn't need a DOC, so I didn't book one. I hope my MOH is up for some big duties, just in case!

Hi. Sorry I just saw this now (when i was looking for a review). I am getting married at oheka :)
i got some extras but i think most of them we told them about in the beginging so he sort of gave us a price based on those things (live sushi guy rolling and raw bar are two big ones i can think of).

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
I've booked photo, video, a florist, haven't booked band yet but know who I'm booking, and bought a dress!
I'm starting to work on the guest list for STDs to be sent out in October, since I'm getting married on a long weekend.

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
thanks for the suggestions for the photo people.im glad to see people posting more about this site... i was getting anxious.
for the buyout/ room rate the buyout was def. less but we are still debating since that is non-refundable.
i dont plan on doing a DOC since im also doing teh church part first and wont need as much coordinating the day of (i think) but we will see

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
I got married at Oheka. If you specific questions about vendors I can help, feel free to FM. A few of the vendors that come to mind are:I used Central Park Orchestra for the band and loved loved them. They got so many compliments. In general I would say PICK a band off their list because paying for 10+ members to eat is silly.
For flowers I used In Full Bloom in Farmingdale. I loved that they were a smaller shop and Marie was very helpful. I would set up an appointment their website needs a serious redesign, but their flowers are great.
Feel free to send a message my way. I know I had so many questions when I was planning.
You won't be disappointed the food is fantastic and the service is great!

I booked Central Park Orchestra for my wedding too. I'm so happy to see your great comment about them. I can't wait to see them play next week in my wedding

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
Congrats to this weekends Oheka Bride! Cannot wait to see the review/pics because there are not too many on here.On a side note- does anyone know if Oheka has more than just ivory linen to chose from? I thought Rick had said that but 2 florists told me they have only seen ivory done? I hope i do not need to add linens to my out of control budget!
thanks ladies!

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
I got married there last October and they only had ivory linens then. You can obviously rent different colors, but it's not provided.

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
I'm pretty sure it's the ivory with the swirls. I was told you can rent different colors but they're not provided by the castle.

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
hi ladies. did anyone find another hotel in the area that will include a shuttle? I have not started to look yet but i heard alot do not include a shuttle and i would rather find one that did --- it will save me money and time finding the vendor.i think more people than rooms are going to want to stay over and i would like to make sure there are options especially considering most of my friends are very young and although they say they do not mind the price tag for the hotel---- u never know.
thanks ladies!!!!!
