Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
Not sure if you booked the hotel already, but Laurie at the Hilton Garden Inn in Melville was really helpful. The hotel is right on Round Swamp Road and is about 10 min away from the castle. We got some pretty good rates from her (and there is a shuttle if you book a certain number of rooms). FM me if you need details!

HA i booked with her as well! Although i did not book the shuttle yet bc I do not want to pay unless a good amount of people are going to use it or if the minimum is met.
Anyway- she is stalking me a little bit now to book the shuttle. Oh well. I will see when it gets closer.
Did you reserve the shuttle already?

I've always been curious about this as well. Someone told me $500/pp but I am having a hard time believing it.

My cousin was married there. Depending on the date, the site fee is I think $10,000-20,000 and the pp was actually pretty reasonable after that, it was under $150 I think, but you have to figure it's like $100 extra pp for the site fee along. It's a beautiful place though!
I would say it's closer to $250-300 pp once you factor in the site fee than the $500 quoted above based on what I heard

I'm pretty sure Rick told me that they don't do the basic menus on the table. The server can just tell the guests what the choices are. Let me know if you hear something different!

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
I did a food tasting last month, and called Oheka to do my menu selection yesterday. I haven't heard back yet, but I think I should be doing the selection soon! I didn't hear anything about the menus, but I think we'll have to provide our own. I'll probably order them from Vistaprint, along with the programs and place cards. Let me know if you hear anything different.I was supposed to do my cake tasting this Friday, but the cake baker, Daniel, is filming a special for the royal wedding that morning, so we pushed it back to early May.

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
Hey girls.....the tasting went absolutely great, everything we had was amazing. Everything was so well presented also. We had our first meeting with the BM kathy last night and all I can is that she is amazing. They really take care of everything last detail. We all have nothing to worry about. We walked out of there so relaxed and calm about everything. Next week we are meeting with the baker so that should be a lot of fun, other then that we are pretty much set with everything. cant believe I am getting married in a month. Hope you guys are enjoying planning!!

Re: Oheka Castle Brides!
Yes, basically the tasting you go with 3 other people(that is what is included) basically for a dinner in the ballroom. They give u an idea of what will be served. They give you one plate of each entree and i think 2 different salads. Then your menu selection is when you have your first meeting with your BM. Def when you go in for your first meeting with the BM have an idea of what you want to choose.
