I agree! Everyone has a different budget and everyone's idea of what's expensive and what's worth spending money on is different. Believe me there are plenty of people in the NY area who have the money to spend on a venue like that and everything that goes along with it and STILL afford the nice honeymoon, nice house and nice everything else. Remember that Long Island and especially NYC have many very, very wealthy families.

- it's a fabulous place ...

i think 200 is actually off-peak price per person ...

If I had the money, I'd do it. It's always been my dream to get married at a castle, like Cinderella! That's something I've had to compromise on though.....

I actually thought Oheka was LESS money!! lol oops. It's really large and you get to rent out the entire castle so there is a lot of upkeep for a place like that so I do understand the site fee. I didn't look there bc the style if just not my type. I don't want to be a princess or queen for the night, although I know most brides do. That just never was my vision. I really want to be glamorous and fabulous so that's why I'm sooooooo thrilled about The GCH bc it was exactly what I wanted. But I can totally see why someone would want to get married there.
