OK - I was like 88-93. AND I was one of the 100 or so people that stood outside the day they started construction to take it down My best friend and I petitioned SO hard to keep it. I found a roller rink in Massapequa (kinda far from me) but all my friends are 'grown ups' now and don't want to go We should have a roller skating GTG

The DJ's - DJ Don and Dave Peat, ummm.... Richie Sevon, soooo many of them. God, I can't even remember the names! I had white skates with red wheels - I was SOOO cool That place really did make my teenage years. So many memories. ...

This is so funny...I worked there for 6 years. Don and Dave - i still ahng out with them from time to time, but Richie Sevon - I haven't heard that name in years....

I haven't seen Don in about 10 years. But Dave I see from time to time... we were pretty good friends at one point. And as for Richie - did you know him? He was my first young love Goodness...all these memories!!!!

The Savoy was the best.....Meanwhile, the blond bartender Gerard now owns the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale! (that used to be the LI Saloon)
