I have only been on this board for a few months, but it has definitely been a great resource. I don't think I could have planned my wedding in 9 months from Chicago. The recommendations, tips, suggestions, and ideas have helped me make my trips home so productive.

I think it's wonderful that women (and men) who don't really 'know' each other come together as community.

There are times when discussions get heated, but I think it's fine we can't always agree with each other. As long as we respect each other, it's all good!

Lots of nice people here.

I thank all those who said nice things when my grandfather died last year. I appreciated all the support and tips given for the wedding planning. I really liked all the little gatherings (hint: we need more).

So many people in here make me smile and I feel close too or impacted me in a very positive way.. I can't name them all..

I have 'met' so many people on these boards who mean the world to me that I cant even begin to list them all! In some way or another, most women on here have effected my life in one way or the other. I come to this site day in and day out to share other peoples lifes experiences and I never want to lose that.

And when controversy gets thrown in the middle I either state my opinion or read away and then realize...this is what life is about..I dont take it in a bad way, unless there is name calling but otherwise I try to keep an open mind and heart and learn from all of you wonderful women.

I am so grateful I am part of a community like this and hopefully over time, I will be able to establish even more friendships and relationships.

You would think that a bunch of B2B's planning weddings on LI (well most of us) would be competitive and caddy but Noooooooooo......not LI Weddings B2B's! Everyone here is super-supportive and like I posted last week in reference to the Jo Anna Bergeren donations.....this site has become more than just a vehicle for wedding advice! I met so many nice people and even reconnected with a classmate from Grad School (Mrswask). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this site!!!

Seriously, I never expected that when I came on here to plan my wedding to a man whose family is from NAPLES and has giant Italian weddings and I'm from Wasp central and so was CLUELESS about how to do this right, that I would 'meet' so many funny, caring, generous people.

The outpouring of love and sympathy from everyone here shows just how special we all our. Each one of the ladies and gentlemen on these boards has laughed, cried, congratulated or shared in some of the most momentous occasions of our lives.

It is not possible to expect that there will never be differences of opinion or complete agreement on every subject. But like a family, we get through it and move on and are there for each other when needed. LIW is truly a community of wonderfully special folks and I am happy to be a small part of that!!

LIW rocks! It reconnected me with 2 of my first ever friends and I got to 'know' some very interesting people (see, now I'm about to get mushy and I'm so not in the mood!)
