I looked at the FOCUS test as a good thing too. It got my husband and I talking about things that we disagreed on. The test helped bring up topics that we hadn't even thought of, and they weren't all spiritual either. I think that with divorce as high as it is why not take a test that helps open up the lines of communication with you and your FH? The church isn't trying to 'test' people to raise little catholics as much as they are trying to make people aware of all the complexities marriage brings.

Also, not all parishes have the test. So if you haven't heard about it it's probably because your parish doesn't have it.
