Patken Photographer

Has anyone heard anything (good or bad) about Patken Photography/Videography in Hicksville (& Mineola), LI? We're using Jericho Terrace, who recommended Patken, Cassarino and Fine Art Photographers. Any input would be helpful!

Did you get the white book with the cross on the cover? That's the one we have...We need to finalize the readings, meet with the organist and then send all the info in at least 1 week before the wedding.....

We did the 1 day precana gig. Paul works in NJ and I work in Suffolk county (we live in Queens). the 4 meeting precana would have been difficult to coordinate with our schedules.

We chose Patken as our photographer. A friend of mine used them and loved them. I really liked their custom albums. We are using the one in Lindenhurst. Good Luck

Also, is it better to rent from a place closer to your site(woodbury) or where you live? (bklyn)

I would guess closer to or in woodbury would be easiest..since the returns can be done the next day.

Hi I went to Fine Art on Tuesday. I loved the work. They were very creative, spontaneous and accomodating. Extremely flexible with the photos/packages. The video was excellent. I have one more place to look and if I dont like them better than Fine Art I will book Fine Art. I havent heard good things about Cassarino. Good Luck!!

Also, I don't know if you planned on including the traditional picture with your thank you. That won't be possible if you send a postcard. I tend to think people would appreciate more a formal written out thank you with a picture included. I usually dump postcards in the trash after time, yet I hold onto the wedding picture from the thank you cards and look back at them fondly. Just my opinion...

I was thinking of buying a bunch of postcards while on my honeymoon and writing them out as my THANK YOU card...instead of using the traditional white stationery. Although, they will likely be mailed after we get back (since I'm not going to write them on the honeymoon). I just figure the words and sincerity will be the same as far I'm concerned...AND it will include the guests a bit more as to where we went.

Does anyone have any experience with Al at PatKen? Has anyone ever heard of ADA photography or Koala?

Thanks for your help!
