I hope he feels better much soon. I am sure they will figure this all out and he will perfect in a few days.

I think you need to try to sleep Claud. Maybe you and Jeff can try to take turns for a few hours. You are no good to Paul if you are sick

Claud did the doctor rule out Roseola? The rash and the high fever are two of the symptons. My son had it when he was about 15 months old and the rash was all over him for at least a week. He ran a high fever and was so cranky!! I remember it well.

I hope that Paul is feeling better soon. More hugs for all of you!!

Wendy, thanks. The doctor hasn't said a word about Roseola....but, guess WHO has??? YUP - my MOM!

That was the first thing my Mom said it could be...she said that I had it when I was a wee one, too.

I don't know....there are days when I feel like I'm just not cut out for all this stuff

Thanks for everyone's good wishes and support. It has been a hell of a week in our house....BUT, I say my prayers and thank God b/c (god forbid) it could be worse!

Claud-You ARE prepared for this. It's just frustrating. If the doctor is still not giving you the answers you want/need. Go to the hospital or another doctor!! Maybe another doctor will be able to diagnose it right away!!

Claud - what about Scarlet Fever? I dont know if thats the same thing as Rosolea or not but I had that when I was little. I had a rash and fever.

Try to get some sleep. Can you and DH take turns watching little Paul? The more rested you are the clearer thinking and able to deal with situations you are faced with.

We took the li'l trooper to the lab this morning to get his blood tested for bacterial infection and white cell counts. Now we are just waiting.

The stupid nurses at the lab couldn't find his veins so they had to poke him 3 times.

DH went into the room w/him b/c I'm not so good at watch blood be drawn (even after all those preggo tests!) and when I heard my baby screaming, everyone in the waiting room looked over at me and I RAN INTO THE ROOM!

I wanted to grab him away from the nurse, but I knew this had to be done.

The poor little guy has just been through so much in the last week. I cannot wait until this is over!

Thanks ladies for the boost of confidence....I really am just so tired...Paul was up all night last night - from 1:30 AM til about 5 AM - just crying and crying on and off....DH didn't feel well and took Nyquil, so he slept like a log....Mommy kept going in and out of Paul's room to try and comfort him, hold him, leave him be, etc....NO SLEEP!
