THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH for all the sweet wished for Paul.

TOday, his fever is not too bad - he's been pretty cool all day - but his rash is MUCH worse

. I am really worried now and losing my patience with this whole mess. I understand kids have to catch 'bugs' in order to build up their immune systems, but this seems extreme to me.

We went back to the doctor today, and made the Dr. verify exactly which vaccines he was given (verification is done using serial numbers from the manufacturers) and Paul was absolutely NOT given the MMR - so, this is surely not a vaccine reaction now.

The doc did a quick Strep culture in the office, which came out negative. She took another one to send to the lab to be sure. I am taking Paul for blood work in the morning, and we might know some additional info (like white cell counts) in a couple hours following. The rest take a few days to process.

I AM JUST OUT OF MY MIND over this...DH and I are truly exhausted....we haven't slept well in days and I'm worried that we'll become sick from being so rundown. I have a headache the size of the grand canyon...but, my mind cannot 'shut off' enough to rest.
