I had used Ray O'Connor in Northport. NOT RECOMMENDED due to poor customer service and the fact that all of the pictures at the hall were taken in one spot.

Make sure your photographer moves you around!

We just looking for photogs now. I've never hired one before. What do you look for when you hire one?

It really depends on what you are looking for. I can tell you I well exceeded my budget (and the budget you mentioned for photography and video but since these are the only parts I have left now that my wedding has come and gone, I am so happy that I hired such an amazing photographer.

If you are looking for a single photographer and single video person(meaning they come with one person and an asst), then I do think your budget is realistic.

We had about 180 people and I felt for photography I wanted 2 FULL photographers and an asst (3 people total). I had 2 videographers just during the ceremony and then one for the reception.

I would say the budget need due to the increase in people would be significantly more (Maybe double).

For me, it was worth the extra $$ although I know its personal preference.

One thing I do recommend is comparing Natasha to other photographers at her price level because then you really can see if you are getting a good price and you can be sure in your decision.

Try 12th Night and Mittermax for the video. they work well together. Lots of brides have posted reviews of both.

Check out Dan Wager (vendor here) www.danwagner.com

He does some photojournalistic work but not too artsy or anything like you said. I think he even has some funny poses and things of that sort on his website.
