Let's Start again.....Place Cards....

Kudos to you Jamelle for no "and guest", I always hated to be that "and guest" it feels like your invisible--someone actually did that to us when we were engaged :( I like you had no "and guest"--even if I didn't know the guest their name was on the placecard...........Have a great wedding girl!

Gina :)

Jamelle,

I agree with Stephanie. You have to do what makes you feel comfortable!

Best of luck with your upcoming wedding!

Place Cards....

WHEN I DID THE PLACE CARD SETTINGS: WHEN I INVITED A PERSON WHO HAD A SIGNFICANT OTHER I TRIED TO FIND OUT THE NAME OF THAT PERSON AND I PUT BOTH THEIR NAMES ON THE PLACE CARD. I THOUGHT PUTTING AND GUEST WASN'T PERSONAL... GOOD LUCK

If I were you, I'd pour over a few bridal magazines, find dresses that you like (many will be noted in the magazine if they come in plus sizes), and then find the nearest authorized bridal shop for that designer.

You can also find sizing info from many designer web pages as well.

Let's Start again - My Gosh!

I think you should write out the place cards exactly how you wrote out the invitations. If you put both on the invitation, they are obviously a couple (regardless of gender or living arrangement). I think the only one who should get a separate place card is the 16 year old, because he is not a "couple" with his parents. I agree with the guest theory...I don't want to pay for anyone who I don't know their name. If they are a couple and you addressed an invitation to them both, they should be placed on the placecard with their significant other.

Thanks everyone for all of your responses. The basket is almost done and the engagement(I'm so excited) is anyday. I'm finally getting the sister I always wanted!! Thanks Again....Gina :)

Jamelle

I agree 100% that is exactly the way to go. Keep the same etiquette that you used on the invites with the exception of the 16 year old. He should be separate. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!! It's great to see you have everything under control!!!

Thanks. Teresa
