I like the note I think it is very personal and it shows that you care about who you're inviting and really want to get the most out of their weekend. I'd say send the note along!

I think the note is a REALLY cute, personal touch. I would definetely include it and especially since it's 4th of July weekend and I believe it's far from where you currently live (CT right?). I would include with it some hotel information and a brochure of Long Island since you are suggesting making a vacation out of it (people will wanna know attractions and such so they can decide if they will make a vacation out of it or not)...

I like it and say go for it!!!

We have a lot of people from out of state... some of my family, many/most friends and all of fh's family...so i think it is a good idea... i got some help from a LIW bride

who has reworked a sentence or two in the letter...and fh doesnt want middle name in there anymore...and i am going to add the hotel information too... but cut out some of the rhetoric in there somewhere,so that it all fits on one page and i can still have the wineries map... i bought nice wedding paper and it should look nice...

and i was able to speak to save the date lady/company and she is adding for the wedding of... so that makes me happy too! i just need to okay it when she sends me a sample, i hope it doesnt look too crowded

Hey...great minds must think alike

I am also going to send out of little personal note to my OOTers. I know if I was invited to an OOT wedding, I would greatly appreciate the extra personal effort in making me feel welcome and giving me options of what to do and where to stay. I know that New York scares a lot of my OOT family members and friends and I want to do everything I can to make them feel comfortable with coming. It is amazing how scary New York can be for people.

I think that any personal touch will be appreciated.
