Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
Doesn't come off now - and I have had no problems. I wore it in the Bahamas at the beginning of the month - we swam with the dolphins and were in the pool and on a jetski and no issues...

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I brought my wedding and engagement rings on my HM. During the day they were locked in the safe. There was no way to remove the safe from the room and it was programmed to our own pin # that no one else had. At night, I wore it when we went out to dinner and when I wasn't at the beach.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I'm wearing my wedding bands but not my e-ring - I'll be in the water most of the time and I just don't want t worry about itETA: A friend of mine lost her Tiffany diamond engagement ring at the beach (not on her honeymoon) so I guess whwn it happens close to home you worry about it!

I think I may just wear the wedding band...not the e-ring.

I agree with you, if it gets lost, falls off or stolen that is something you'd think about forever. I'm not too keen on trusting hotel personel with my valuables. I think I'd buy a 'Really' simple band and wear it on my HM. Nothing crazy. When I got back throw my Marrried Lady duds right back on!

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
This is tough. I don't think i'd be okay with leaving them in a safe all day. Who knows if our resorts even have a safe in the rooms...
The poll (so far) shows most take them on their HM... but I think i'm leaning towards leaving them home and knowing they are safe. They will be insured, but I would still hate to lose them.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I am most definitely wearing them and not taking them off.I know its not so great to wear them in the water but I have done it before and have not had any problems.
I'd much rather have them on me.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I will wear both my engagement ring and wedding band on our honeymoon. I will swim with them on and only take them off to sleep and shower.
We're going to St. Lucia.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I brought mine and wore it except when we went to town and they told us to take them off. I put them in the safe (it was programmable by us)My wedding ring was my grandmother's and it came everywhere with me!
Btw, if you want to know if there is a safe, it usually is in the room description.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I've been thinking about it and I know i'm not going to want to wear a 'fakey' ring on the HM and I spoke to my FI and he really wants me to bring them. I guess i'll just have to decide on June 12th!Thanks for all the input girls!

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
I bought a plain band to wear on the honeymoon. I am so glad I did....while we were cave tubing in Belize, I put a nice scratch in. I would have been so upset if I did that to my diamond band.

I'm wearing it and it'll be insured and i love it - so I'm going to take it!i just hope I don't lose FH - he does wander away sometimes - maybe I should put him in the safe!

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
the only legit reason my DH had for me not wearing mine was b/c I am small- he didn't want me to be a targetCabo was so safe- and I was never with out him outside of the hotel- plus he's 6 feet tall 265 lbs
but as much as I wanted to wear mine- it was nice having the fake one and not having to worry about anything
in Miami I kept looking down at my hand- b/c I heard it's bad to get sand on your ring- it could losen the stone- so I was freaking out
plus putting sunblock on- having to take the rings off - so they don't get gross
the fake ring wasn't so bad

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
DH wouldn't let me take the rings. his reasoning was... even if it’s perfectly safe, why draw attention to yourself with bling.I ended up buying a plain white gold band at Tri County for $50. it worked out well. I missed my rings, but I was actually happy that I didn’t have to spend a moment worrying about them in the room safe.

Re: POLL: Are you bringing your rings on the honeymoon?
This a tough one Jess, I haven't put much thought into it.It takes me a good pull and tug to get my e-ring off my finger...and I wear it to the Army and the gym...so this I am not worried about.
I will leave it up to my FH if he wants to wear his; most likely he will want to b/c it has been custom made.
Jess, the only advice I have for you is maybe you can get inexpensive rings just to wear when you travel and kep your wedding bands at one of your parents' homes.
Good luck with your decision, I am sure I will find out 2 days after your wedding.
