Our reception is at a hotel so we're staying there that night. My parents are hosting a breakfast for us the next morning.

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

if it is the first time that you will be at your home......i would go there....you could set it up with like rose petals, and maybe have a friend go and light candles before you two get home....i think this would be really nice!

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

We are staying at hotel (comp) from Scotto Bros.

We already have 2 kids and a house so it will be more romantic if we don't come home to our house with the kids...fh is gonna have a hard time being without our daughters even for one night (isnt that so cute)

We are staying at the hotel. We are having an after party there and a brunch. Plus I feel that a hotel is more romantic then our rental house

I was in Fox Hollow Inn last night. Very nice place and I am considering booking it.

All the rooms there are suites.

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

We're going to the Hilton in Rockefellar Plaza... however, our reception ends at 5pm and we have a flight from JFK the next day at noon, plus we live in CT.

If it's your first night going to the apt, I would go there. THen you can stay in a hotel right before you leave for the HM if you want to stay in a hotel.

I think if the reception is going to end that late, you might want to have a romantic evening in 'your' new home together and then you can go to a hotel the next night.

For my friend's wedding, we decorated their bedroom for their wedding night. It was so sweet and very pretty. It was their first night living in their new house together.

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

We plan on coming home together. Our honeymoon isn't for a month after our wedding and I'd rather plop in my own bed after such a long day. I'm the type that doesn't sleep well if I'm not in my own bed. I opt for your house as the first night as husband and wife. I think carrying you over the threshold is very romantic!

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

We debated about this for a while. IN the end we just could not justify spending $400 for a room that we would be in for less then 12 hours. It was actually kinda fun to walk into our apartment in our wedding clothes.

I am really not sure- it honestly just will end up if we have any leftover funds or not! ha. It is not like anything will be going on that night at 3 in the morning anyway! (wink, wink)

Lee and I are staying in a hotel. we live together now, and at our house, to get to the front door, you have to walk up 42 stairs, yes, 42, so i cant walk up with my gown on.

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

We're staying at a hotel too... We are not getting limos (we'er getting married at reception site) so if we stay at the hotel, we dnon't need a ride home. PLUS some friends and family are stayin there with us too, so it will be lots of fun in the AM eating breakfast all together with our closest friends/family!

The only hotels close to the hall are at JFK airport.. Our new Apt. is 2 minutes from the hall.

Re: POLL: Are you staying at a hotel the night of your wedding or are you going home?

That is a problem that I am having between the two families...my family doesn't believe in staying in a hotel that night and yet my FH's family wants to stay in a hotel and then we have a brunch the next day. That is what we have done for all of his cousins. I am definitely leaning towards the hotel, even if my family doesn't stay. Does anyone know of any nice hotels near St. James-Flowerfields?
