I like the dress, and I don't think it's too dressy. I like the dressy/casual look, so your maybe your FH could wear a nice pair of jeans, baby blue button down, and leather flip flops/sandles. Definitely take some shots of you guys walking in the start of the water and have your FH roll his jeans up a couple of times.
