Spiliotis Enterprises Inc. has withdrawn its request to exercise a five-year option to renew its 10-year contract to manage the golf and banquet operation at the Port Jefferson Country Club at Harbor Hills, Village Trustee Larry Britt reported at Monday night's meeting of the elected body. The active banquet and restaurant operation will be put out to bid, Britt reported. Spiliotis Enterprises has been under pressure from the village to live up to the terms of its current contract.

Re: Port Jefferson Country Club HELP!
I'm not surprised. I was not at all impressed with Steve Spiliotis and he is one of the reasons we decided NOT to book with PJCC.

Re: Port Jefferson Country Club HELP!
I am also getting married at the PJCC this summer. I was slightly concerned when I heard this. I'm basically worried that since the catering company is leaving they won't be as concerned with maintaining their reputation & the facilities. Without more information, though, I don't really think cancelling the contract is the way to go. We don't really have any evidence that they'll let things go and at this point, it woudl be hard to find our dates open at other locations. I think I may try to talk to Steve and find out what, if anything, will change prior to 2004.Welcome New Vendors
