hey, I know that BENKERT's bakery in centereach is excellent!!! I have been to several weddings with their cakes and its so YUMMY, I would check them out..also Love king kullen, no one knows where you got the cake from all they will remember is the taste..

I still have a problem with my cake!!!!!

I went again fir the fifth time and gave in another picture of my cake...Its my 3rd time giving them a picture of a different cake!!!!!
An guess what....They want a $1200 for this cake now! Im up to my kneck with them at Leonards. Im sooooo upset! Im going to see a baker tom. just to see how much any of those 3 cakes I've shown Leonards would be. And my wedding is in 3 weeks... I cant belice Leonards is giving me such a hard time!!!
Im so aggrevated with this whole situation.

This is the 3rd cake that I gave them and they wanted $1200...

Oh yea...when Leonard's said when I booked with them I get free cake which includes 5 tier stacked. So with this cake they priced for 5 tier, and I said no flowers on top (my florist will do that), pretty much simple. And they're charging me $1200 for this cake.

I'm so sorry!

I know u need this like u need a hole in the head. Did you tell them you would go elsewhere if they didn't come down in price? Make sure you clarify whether they will then charge you a cake cutting fee!!! I think I might need to go a few months before to get the cake thing clarified to make sure it goes ok.

Oh and also when I told them that I might find my own baker they said that they wouldn't be responsible for anything that happens to my cake. (if anything goes wrong with it)

The cake you have pictured there is made out of fondent. When you start to move into that there is usually an extra charge. The price they gave you does seem a little high for there to be an extra charge that high. What did your $700 cake look like?

The reason they are charging you so much more is because the cake you posted is made with fondant, and that is more expensive. I didn't like the choices they gave me either, but didn't want to pay extra for the fondant. I asked them to just do the layers stacked and make it as smooth as possible with the frosting. My florist decorated it.
