hey first of all CONGRATS on becoming a puppy mama. . . as i always say when i get rich and win the lotto and buy my mansion with acres of land. . .we are having a puppy gtg there! brutus loves making friends!

as for the coughing. . . Pugs and Bostons both have that pushed in face ( i forget the technical term) and they tend to do this kind of 'reverse sneezing' when they over exert themselves. . . its not dangerous - brutus does this a few times a day. . . you just have to calm him down and maybe get him to drink some water.

i have found that a lot of water makes it worse so i will only give them a little at a time until it stops

Also Kim told me to get raised food and water bowls and that also helped

i know how scary it can sound but you will get used to it

FH's aunt swears by some olive oil in her dog's water - my vet said this doesnt make a difference but she swears that it does!

Olive Oil makes sense,, it probably smooths her throat! I havent bought any bowls yet, so I will definatley invest in one of those!! Thank you for that information!
