Yes, we are taking the pics before. The ceremony and reception are at the same place, so there is no time between the ceremony and the CH. If we were to take pics after the ceremony, we would miss CH and probably a part of the reception too. FH is very excited about CH food, so he will be greeting everyone with a plate in hand. I am a slob so I am afraid if I try to eat during CH I will wind up with food all over my dress.

Yup! But definitely after I have a bite of everything We're taking pictures before the ceremony because I want to enjoy cocktail hour

Well....I know I will be going around but I dont think that I will get everyone I have a feeling that more people will be coming up to us....So I will make sure I make my table rounds

we are not missing a second of our ch. i hate it when you don't see the bride and groom the whole ch, like its a big secret that they are there. we want to mingle then so we can dance the night away and not worry about who we spoke to and who we missed

Here's a question - if you greet people during the CH, are you still responsible for going around to all the tables during the reception, or can you party?

I will greet people (as many as i Can) during CH ..I dont want to miss CH AT ALL~

and I dont want to spend entire reception saying hi either... Just wanna have fun...CH is a good place to eat and mingle

We have a good 1hr and half between our ceremony and CH so we plan on getting most of our pics done then, I made it known to my photographer that I wanted to go to most of it not all of my CH, he said it shouldnt be a problem.. Its definitely a good time to get your hello's in, so u can enjoy the reception...

Yes! We've alreayd made it clear with the photographer that we want ALL pics (posed) done BEFORE CH begins. Shouls not be a problem considering ceremony (NOT full mass) is at 3:30 and CH starts at 7.

A good friend (who was married 3 yrs ago) suggested speaking to as many people at the CH, then during the reception, go to the tables and speak to the table, not individuals.

After my e-party, I decided that I definitely would not go down during the cocktail hr. It's was toooooo much for me to be bombarded by people in all directions and talking to everyone. FH and I will take our pics and try and eat a little and relax in the suite with our BP.

We're not really doing many posed photos. The ceremony will pretty much be right next to where the CH is, and the photographer we are in all likelihood using assured us we can do a few in about 15 minutes. It's at a vineyard so I figure we can walk a few feet away from where people are mingling, get the photos done and then go back and join everyone!

We have plenty of time in between for pictures and then its off to the hall. At CLM we get to make a very GRAND entrance on a yacht and I am soooo excited about that. We will be at cocktail hour from the time we get off the boat till the reception

Ditto! I'm paying a lot of money for it - I want to enjoy it too! Plus, I plan to get a lot of the greetings done at the CH, so I can party at the reception.

We are taking pictures before hand -- so I will definitely be at the CH greeting guests, plate and glass in hand. We will probably disappear towards the end, right before our introduction. I want about 15 minutes alone with FH (then DH ).

Hopefully. My FI and I have about a two and ahalf hour gap of time between the church and our Cocktail hour. So we are hoping that most of our posed pics are taken during that time frame, so we can enjoy the cocktail hour.

yes, we are having a 1 1/2 hr cocktail hr and we are seeing each other before to take pics. I cannot wait for my cocktail hour...especially if it doesnt rain, on the deck w/my cocktails and food and steel drum band. it seriously is all i want that day to go right.

No, we won't bed attending the CH, but our BP will. We want the hour to be by ourselves before the celebration starts. We figure we will take pic with the BP between the ceremony and the CH, and then have some alone time.
