You may have developed an allergy to something in the bra. Have you tried not wearing that bra for a while? I am allergic to a rubber accellerant used to make elastic and I found out because I was getting itchy around my hips / lower stomach area - where my underwear hit. (Well that and I had a patch test to test for different allergic reactions.)

You can go to kohls or anywhere they sell Jockey and buy a jockey bra. Jockey does not use this accellerant (it's called mercaptobenzathiazole, or MBT for short). If you wear that bra for a week (wash it in the sink or something in between) and the itching goes away, it may very well be the problem!

Yeah, knee highs are the WORST! If I forget and buy a pair that are not Jockey, I'll be scratching my calves alllll day.

I actually had this problem last year and it got so bad I went to the dermatologist. When I saw the dermatologist he said to go see the gynecologist (I was surprised), but they just prescribed a cortisone cream. They thought it was an allergy. The cream did help after a few days.

I wear knee highs just about everyday to work -- I am going to look into the jockey ones. Not that I have the allergy but wearing them everyday makes me itchy -- probably because i feel so confined!

I wouldn't worry. Probably dry skin, especially since it's got so cold so fast this year.

I have this happen once a year. You dont need to go to your dermatologist. Its an allergy similar to hives. You can try regular benadryl or go to your reg. doc and get something stronger. Calamine or cortizone cream helps too.

ETA: Also, Switch your detergent and fabric softener to something for senstive skin that is hypoallergenic. Something with no dyes or scents added.

dry skin most likely!! lately ive been itching lik crazy too.all my body!!! is the stupid cold that dries ur skin...feel better..=)

It's most likely dry skin, but you should visit the dr anyway if it doesn't get better. There is a type of breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer, where one of the symptoms are itchy breasts. However, there are many other symptoms too that you clearly don't have...that's why it's probably just dry skin...but sometimes better to be safe than sorry.

did ur bra happen to come from victoria secret? i heard on the radio like 2 weeks ago that woman across the country were breaking out from bras bought there, b/c they were never washed b4 worn, and had fahaldamide on them ( yeah i SOOOO butchered that word...sorry)

'10 girl crashing... just wanted to suggest maybe you see if you're having an allergy to your deodorant? This happened to me and I hadn't even switched deodorant, I went to my regular doctor and my armpits but also my arms and some areas of my chest were bothering me, he said that I had an allergic reaction and that he's seen a reaction like that affect other areas including the breasts, waist and some other specific parts of the body I can't remember. But I also heard the thing about the VS bras, I'd check into that too.

YES the majority of my bras DO come from VS actually! Although, I have switched it up and worn other ones, and they aren't new bras, so I have washed them many times already, and only just started itching recently. That is quite interesting though... I hadn't heard that.
