Re: Quick dinner recipes-please post

This is a great thread considering I am new at the cooking thing and I work, thanks for stating it

Quick meals I have made that were good were tacos, so easy just brown meat with seasoning and add toppings and tortillas.

I also have to say that all the appliances I got as gifts really do make things easier.....

Examples....

Its not a george forman grill but something like it is great, you can put some sausage or chicken and make anything you like, the meat is done in about 15 minutes and you can make your sides or sauce while it is cooking.

I also have a rice cooker which is awesome cyou add water and rice and press on, its done in 15 20 minutes without stirring or anything.

The last thing that is totally great is my convection microwave, I can grill steak, bake french fries...anything! It is quick and the food comes out great.

Re: Quick dinner recipes-please post

I made this tonight (took me like 30 minutes!!)

Ravioli (any kind is OK, I happened to use a Trader Joes ravioli... had fire roasted veggies in it (delish by the way!) very low fat, high fiber! (5 points for you WW girls!!)

cooked up some frozen spinach, seasoned with salt, pepper& garlic powder.
cooked up some thin chicken cutlets cut in bite size pieces.

Put it all in a plate & topped with this sauce, sort of a REALLY light alfredo I guess: ( I got this from WW, but modified it, I think it originally had gorgozola cheese in it, but left that out)

(makes 4 servings actually)
2 cups fat free milk
2 tbsps. flour
1/4 cup parmasan cheese
cayenne pepper, salt & pepper to taste
whisk over medium heat untill thick, about 5 minutes

Hubby says this meal is a MUST make again!!
