I hope he is OK Try not to stress too much, like you said its probably the meds.

Will he at least go to the regular Dr. if he wont go to the ER?

Hey just to let you know im praying for your hubby! I did want to tell you last year i had an issue with my tongue blowing up. It really felt like the back was 10x the size it should be. After a few tests it turned out to be a severe infection. Your hubby should definitely go to the hospital to make sure he doesnt have an infection as a result of the surgery!!

well, i called earlier today and got the answering service and tomorrow is sunday

he's been taking antibiotics so if it was an infection i would think it would be gone - i dont know

did you have surgery??

No mine was the result of an infection that had been brewing i was on antibiotics for 21 days when my tongue blew up. Then they gave me something much stronger : erithromyacin (sp?) 2 days later my tongue was down

Usually you can have the doctor paged for an emergency. If he doesn't want to go to the ER, and there is no improvement maybe you can do that. Isn't it usually that way? Of course this happened at a time where you can't even try to push his doctor's appointment up. Has the Benadryl helped him at all?

laura - i wrote you back on LIF....i don't know if it would do anything...but it can't hurt to try benadryl...

I hope that he is ok but try and convince him to go NOW. Cry if you have to! I am sure he is ok but I don't think he should wait until Monday or Tuesday.

I hope your DH is better today...if not, I would definitely try to convince him to go to the ER. Definitely better safe than sorry, you know?

oh laura im so sorry... many prayers for your DH.. but this sounds really serious and i would try and INSIST that you take him to the ER. tell him that if its nothing its nothing but your better safe then sorry. i hope he's ok!
