Re: Reception Venue, Friday Night Wedding Under 100
Milleridge Cottage/Inn in Hicksville. They are both beautiful. One you have to have a minimum of 125, I think, but the other one (I think it's the Inn, is a maximum of 125. ) BOth are very nice. They are partners with George Washington Manor. Also, where I booked my wedding, Stewart Manor COuntry CLub (in Stewart Manor, next to Garden City) has a minimum of only 100.

I know it's not in LI, but you check the Villa barone Manor. Here sthe website if you wanna check it out www.villabaronemanor.com and there are also beautiful places in New Rochelle that hold smaller parties as well, all with a great view!

Hi Girls...Just a quick update. I spoke with someone at the Swan Club yesterday who was VERY nice. She would be willing to drop the minimums to 100 for the larger rooms. They do have a room for 40-75 people, which probably means it fits 65 comfortably, and that is too small. Either we're going to have to cut our guest list a lot or plan for more people, and I don't want to do either. I'm so frustrated I'm ready to give up.
To the person who suggested Deversky, I think that place is GORGEOUS. But it's also insanely expensive for us and some of the fees are just ridiculous (I think it was $1000 to set up chairs?).
Thanks for all of the suggestions..I'm still looking into some of these places.

Hi Lisa!
I know the search can be frustrating. Don't give up, you'll find something! Take a look at San Souci in Sea Cliff. It's on the LI Sound/water setting, romantic and intimate. I think it only seats around 120.
Good luck!

Hi --
I am having the worst time finding a venue for a Friday night wedding in September 07 where the minimum is less than 100/125 people. We'll probably only have 75/85 people.
Too far out on LI isn't really an option...probably in the 516 area code. Looked into GWM when we first got engaged and was told that a Friday in September would be flexible with their 95 person minimum and now of course they are saying it's not negotiable. I've searched and searched and am losing hope.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Brindisi I'm biased though it's where I'm getting married, & I'm the Manager there. We will soon be up on here under Vendors...
Thanks,
Lisa

It's beautiful & the food is sooo good we were thinking of it for our e-party (if we can't do it in a private home)
