Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

The Clinton is really good as well. It's sort of pubbish looking inside, but the food is excellent - Italian. If you like Greek food, Kati Allo is also amazing and reasonably priced.

If you're looking on Bell, there are a ton of places, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

BTW, I just moved to Whitestone in May, and I'm definitely going to try some of these places....thanks girls!

Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

We had ours at Tequila Sunrise on Bell Blvd. and it was great. They have a mariachi band most nights, and they decorated with balloon arches and had printed menus - both of which were unexpected treats. They had several menu options and beverage options to choose from, keeping the costs in line.

Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

I grew up in Whitestone and I dont think the Clinton has a private room but MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM - the best food!!!!!!!! Looks like a hole in the wall but the food is amazing!

The White House is a nice choice, we had our engagement party dinner there. Monahan & Fitzgerald is also a great choice, their private room is really nice.

Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

Donovan's across the street also uses their back room as a private area....typical pub type of food.

On a side note the Clinton(ville) has the best 'Garbage Pie' pizza...yummmmmmmmm and the Ray's House Special......

White House has that nice party room downstairs.

Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

I'm a Whitestone girl too and we had the rehearsal dinner at Donovan's off of Bell Blvd. I'm not sure how much it was a person, but definitely reasonable, (MIL paid for it), but the food was incredible and tons of it! DH is Irish so it worked out well.

I had my shower at the White House and that was great too! Food was incredible!

Re: Rehearsal dinner in Queens

Thanks girls. FH and I go to the Clinton all the time. He grew up down the block from the Clinton but they can not accomodate large parties or I would have gone with them in a heartbeat.

I'm going to check out Donovans & Monohans. I like Il Fagiano and I like the fact they have a back room but they are kind of expensive (like $35.00/head) if you want beer and wine.

All of your suggestions are appreciated.
