Re: Rehearsal Dinner Restaurants in Rockville Centre?

I am also thinking of doing something in RVC for my RD. i am going to check out:

McArthur Park (on Maple Avenue) I've heard they really work with you on the price. And there's a bar there where people can just chill and relax. it's a casual type of place.

Cannon's Blackthrone (a friend of mine just opened this pub, it's on North Village, by the train. they just opened the restaurant part of the pub and could probably work with you. it has a gorgeous interior...

Monaghan's also on North Village does food, not sure of the price though....

there are tons of restaurants on Park Ave. Dodici is great, but could be pricy. Max's...the food isn't that great, so you might want to skip. I LOVE Cabo,(Mexican food) but it can get a bit noisy on a Friday, perhaps if it's during the week, that might be a great place for you to look at.

Croxley's Ale and Waterzooi (on the south side of Park) are also good.

GOOD LUCK!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Restaurants in Rockville Centre?

I've always hated McArthur Park, but they have a private room which you might want.

My favorite restaurant is Rigatoni. It's a small place, but it's great. Dodici is pretty large and should be able to accommodate a RD. George Martin is pretty good and might have a private room. Chadwick's is right near the train station. One of my friends was thinking of having her RD there, but I think she ended up choosing the New Yorker. Kasey's is ok. There are a bunch of places all along Park Avenue. The only thing is the parking can be a pain, especially on a Friday or Saturday night.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Restaurants in Rockville Centre?

I forgot George Martin.... yum, yum, yum.... a bit pricey though, so you might want to look into it a bit further if you're on a budget or having a lot of people.

Also I'm noticiing just about all of these places are within walking distance from St. Agnes Cathedral (perhaps that is where you are getting married and your rehearsal is there??????). then you won't have to worry about parking... you can leave the cars in the church lot and get them when you're done with dinner.
