Re: RH Dress Change - Is Anyone Doing This?

The day goes too fast! I didn't even want to take 5 minutes to go to the bathroom cause I'd miss a good song. I wore mine to the hotel and DH and my friend staying at the hotel did all the button loops. By the end of the reception your dress will be flithy anyway.

Re: RH Dress Change - Is Anyone Doing This?

I thought about doing this because I really won't be able to get down on the dance floor like I want to in my gown, but then I also thought about the $$$ I paid for my gown and the cost of buying another dress. Since I will only be wearing my dress once might as well get the most out of it for the $$$

Re: RH Dress Change - Is Anyone Doing This?

I may be getting married in a castle in New Jersey and having an outside garden ceramony. I really want to use one dress for the ceramony and then another for the ballroom. I would have to find inexpensive dresses but someone told me a girl did this at her wedding and it was so freakin cool.....I loved the idea but who knows, a little much?

Re: RH Dress Change - Is Anyone Doing This?

Not only do I want to wear my gown as long as possible, I also don't want to waste time changing while at my own reception. The day will go fast enough - why spend time away from the action when you don't have to.

What are the chances (seriously) of the dress getting ruined on your way home after the reception? Also, won't you have FH to help you change?

No way you could get me out of my dress at my wedding, but that's JMHO!

I contemplated this for like one second - then I realized that the day will go by quickly enough as it is. I do not want to waste any time getting out of my (big) dress and putting on another. Besides, my mom bought my dress as a gift to me and I really lllllllove it, so I want to have it on as long as possible!!!

me too

Re: RH Dress Change - Is Anyone Doing This?

FH and I both changed like 1/2 an hr before the reception ended. I'll post pics as soon as I can. I agree the day does go by really fast, but it was so much easier to dance and move around after i changed. Besides we were leaving for our hm the next morning so we sent my dress and the tux back home with my parents.
