I received a RSVP yesterday...it was 'yes'.

Now, we have officially reached our minimum!




Still missing a few RSVPs and the 'cut-off' date is this Saturday. I guess that we will have to make phone calls (or send out emails) at the end of next week.

I have 130 coming. Still missing about 20 cards, but it is great, because my target is 180. 3 of the cards that are missing are as follows: FH Parents, FH brother and BM and his wife, BM parents (ironic huh)...

I have meetings set up this month for the following:
Band (next week)
Caterer - menu (this weekend)
Dress (final fitting) - Sept. 21st - a little early in case there is anything last minute
Hair trial - Sept 15th afternoon
Florist - Sept 15th morning
Final meeting with rabbi (we have met with her 4x already) - Sept 24

It is getting so close! I can't believe it.

Anyone know the process for how long it takes to get after you go in to apply? Is there a waiting period or do you get it that day?

They give it to you on the spot if you go in Manhattan. They tell you that you have to wait a day before you use it.

We got our marriage license yesterday.

I spent lunchtime today writing down the money left to pay.....

Only 16 days left.....

I'm hanging in there; how about you? Getting a little anxious now; finished up the favors & placecards last night. Tonight we're dropping everything off at hall, final meeting with videographer tomorrow & final meeting with dj on Wednesday. Thursday everyone picks up their tuxes and Friday have my salon appt., have to clean my apt. & pick up my sister and niece at airport. Really wish I was off from work this week-that would be very helpful!!

How much are you tipping the photographer?

We are having just one photographer...no video.

Should I tip 1/2 at the wedding and the other 1/2 when we see the proofs?????

I am confused about tipping too! I think for the photog I will do $100, $100 for video, and $75 for assistant. I really love my photog. He and my florist have been such great vendors.

Can't believe we only have a few days!!!!

I made my OOT gift bags this weekend. It was actually easier than I thought it would be.

I picked up my gown last night...

I just found out the the owner of the photography studio is going to be our photographer. I've read in various posts that you don't tip the owner?!?

I don't know...this whole tipping thing is so confusing.....

We are getting married in a Catholic Church and paying quite a 'fee' to get married there. I've spoken to some people who say the Deacon gets some of the 'fee' so there is no need to give hip a 'tip'. I've spoken to other people who say that we should give a 'tip' to the Deacon.

Plus, I have a small problem with giving a tip to the photographer at the wedding...before we see the photos.
