Rose Petal Paper Cones

Is anyone using/making these? I saw it in Martha Stewart and want to make them--just wondering if anyone had any ideas/tips on best ways to do it Laura

I'm the last person who wants to get involved in this, but after every posting I get a "new e-mail posting" message. To find out that each one has nothing to do with gowns, halls, dj's, photographers, or any such wedding planning is just downright annoying.

Ding ding ding...the bell has rung, go to your separate corners and let's get civilized.

Yes, I am making those. I saw that in Martha Stewart too. I'm going to buy the paper lace doiles and make cones. When the florist delivers the petals in the morning, I'll fill them with my girls, or you can give them the cones and they can deliver them already done. I bought blue/lavendar petals

I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE BUT PATCHOGUE FLORAL IN EAST PATCHOGUE SELLS THESE ALREADY MADE

I have been coming to this chat site for the last 2weeks. I must say that I am completely amazed at what goes on here...people sniping at one another, vendors reputations being destroyed without anyone checking their facts ie: Fox Hollow Construction issue, and a complete disregard for other people's thoughts and feelings(Feed the photog issue). I feel like I am in junior high school.

Although I have been married before, the wedding was a very long time ago(and a lot different). It had been my hope to obtain viable and pertinent info from those sharing the wedding experience. While I have gotten some very helpful info, the majority of what I have seen on this site has been anything but. Instead, those who voice their opinions, including professionals, are castigated and vilified for them, making this rather an unpleasant place to visit. Certainly everyone should exchange info..but not insults.

We also sell the cones printed with your names on them. If you would like to make them yourself, a nice way to do it would be to purchase some fancy transparent white paper. You could print your names on the top left corner of each sheet on a diagonal with your printer. Then you roll each sheet into a cone shape so that your names are facing front on the back high part of the cone. You tie each cone with a pretty piece of ribbon and these are great for filling with rose petals. It sounds confusing but is really simple to do.

Good luck! Stephanie Classic Favors & Invitations

The cones are used to hold the rose petals (to throw at the B&G at the church). You can check them out at Martha Stewart's web page.

Party City also has premade cones for purchase.

Thank you so much everyone -- always amazed at the response on here-- didn't think about having the florist deliver them in the morning(the petals that is) Laura

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As some of you remember, Mark and I "got it on" on this site some months ago. What this means now, is that we can all learn a lot. We vendors, should never lose sight of the fact that the Brides are calling the shots, and rightfully so. Regardless of the actual dollars, they are all spending their limit on this beautiful day. We should either respect that or find another line of work.

Great Idea Stephanie. I didn't think to put our names on them. Thanks!!!!

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)
