My RSVP date is monday Sept 8th and we still have about 35 outstanding (that's 70 people)!!

I am going to wait until the weekend (5-6 days after the deadline) and start emailing people. I am going to tell them that the reception hall needs our final count in a week and we can't make any changes after that. We'll see.

I gave it about a week and started calling. Guess what? A couple of the people still never extended the courtesy of a return phone call...how 'bout that! I just found out a couple of nights ago that the last person we were waiting on is not coming...what was so hard to put the card in the mail?

MAybe I am weird, but I am not calling anyone. Let the RSVP date come and go.. I am not calling you.
I will just take it that you are not coming, and that is fine.

I know my family and friends that I invited are all coming, so I am not worried. But I will be damned if I have to be responsible for these types of people who cant even put a card in the mail.

And if/when they show up to the reception, and there is no place card with their name.... Oh WELL...

I am responsible for everything of that day going right, i just cannot be responsible for guests like that.

I am a week away from my RSVP date and my mom said she is gonna start calling the very next day!!! I told her to give them at least a week, but I guess she is sort of impatient and can't wait that long. I say you should call, especially if you are a week past your date.

UGHHH I feel your pain.
I think its incredibly RUDE and disrespectful that people cannot put the damn thing in the mail. We are about a week past and still missing a few. The worst one -- his mom and stepdad!!! I mean obv I know they are going but come onnnn.

I told my Mom one phone call...if they dont tell us by tomorrow (when we are doing the seating chart) then that's it...I'm considering them a no.
So sorry... too much other stuff to worry about.

Esp when you sent save the dates like a year beforehand!!1

I gave them a week and a half before I had my mom make phone calls. Plus, you'll get a lot in this week-people like to send them in on the rsvp date.

People are so rude! Mine was the 30th and iam waiting on about 20 rsvp's!!! Iam gonna start calling this weekend!

I agree, so would I!!!

So here's my plan. If by Tues. 9/23 (rsvp due 9/19) I don't have all rsvp's in, they are down as a NO. If someone decides to show up, s*cks for them that there won't be a placecard for them. I know the RH will get them a place setting etc but I'm not going to make it easy for them.

I honestly don't understand what is so hard about rsvp'ing. Either you want to come or you don't, just decide and mail the darn thing back.

My date was 9/1 and I am missing approx 25 or so! We sent them out over 6 weeks ago! How hard is it to put a stamped envelope in the mail! I don't get the rudeness!!!!

Included in the one's missing in action are some from good friends. I don't get it - it's not hard!

We only received 3 this week! So I'll be calling next week. Although - I've marked them down tentatively as No's!
