Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

I wouldn't. To get the ones that look real, you have to spend lots of $$. On the day FH proposed, I had just cut my hair to chin length! I have been growing it out since then, and now its shoulder length. I figure it will grow another 4-5 inches before the wedding, which I will have to make do with. I had a trial back in July, and it came out great, so I am sure it will be even better when my hair is longer!

If it aint attached to my head before my wedding day, it wont be attached ON my wedding day. It isnt my style. In fact, I wish I could cut off the hair I do have.

You can be GI CHEESE!

OH if only.....

THIS is what I wish to have back:

and this:

This is how FH met me. This is what I looked like when he said he loved me. This is how I feel I look best. So that explains why Id NEVER do extensions.

At first I thought that would be too fake, and I want to be natural for my pics, but then I remembered my cr*ppy hair, and found a way to sneak extensions in my budget!! Plus, I'll have them for the HM, and be a hottie on the beach!

I'm going to have to disagree about this statement.

As long as your purchase the real human hair (which 16' costs $19.99 - I bought two packs) and have it done by a professional, it's not THAT much money and doesn't look fake at all.

I feel ya. My hair exactly like yours and I loved it. Now its in the dumb inbetween stage and looks like crap. Can't do a thing with it. I loved having spiked hair. Everyone said i looked like i was rolling around in the sack, but it was my trademark for a long time. I'm so confused, either I want it wicked short again or long. Ughh..i hate hair.

Its not that simple. FH made one simple request - for me to grow my hair for the wedding. We are working on a compromise. He KNOWS I am unhappy but he is a GROOMZILLA in that respect. I dont care how many people have long hair, do up-dos and tell me how great my hair may look, it doesnt matter. I dont want long hair. I dont like up-dos. Our agreement is that when I sit with my stylist for my trial (in December after some more growth) and if I REALLY dont like it, I will cut it then. So I have about a month or so to go. I already know the outcome .

i can honestly say i would never get extensions for my wedding or any other day. if they can't style what god gave me, then i'll have to find another style.

Well, it's good you have a compromise. Because it's your wedding too, and you shouldn't feel uncomfortable on your wedding day.

Im not big on extensions either, but its your day you want everything right and the hair is very important. You hair amongst other things will make or break on your look.

I have to diagree as well. I have very long hair, but my hair is thin, so I add 'tracks' are what we call it, but extensions whatever, anyway it's not expensive at all. You can get human hair by the ounce, or in a pack. By the ounce is costly yes, but it still doesn't cost that much to get it done. I normally get two- three tracks added in and it $10 a track, and I don't glue them in I sew them in, and my hair looks very natural after its done I guess it all depends on who does it for you.

Re: Since we're talking about hair: would you get extensions to get your dream wedding hair? poll!

Thanks, girls! I haven't gone for a hair trial yet, so I don't know if I will need them. But, it's good to think about my options.
