Song for Father/Daughter dance

We are meeting with our DJ this Thursday and still don't have a song to dance with my dad too.
I told my dad to let me know what song he wants to do.... now I found out he went upstate for the next two weeks and he gets no reception on his phone 90% of the time.

I really don't want anything thats sappy, cheesey, over done.... etc. But he doesn't want anything thats too up tempo....
He's into classic rock & classical music..... i'm into metal, goth rock, 80's etc...

HELP!?!?! Suggestions?? Could really use lots of suggestions....

Not 100% sure yet but I think we're gonna use 'Through the Years' by Kenny Rogers..

Great choice I danced with my mom to that song while a picture slide show of my dad played in the back ground. Love that song

We're a little outside of the box...using 'Golden Slumbers' by the Beatles.....dad used to sing it to me when I was a little girl. Are there any songs that you two used to both enjoy together? Look up some of dad's favorite artists, maybe there is a song that isn't too sappy but one that you two just had a fun time with. good luck!
