FI got me a platinum eternity band with 4.27 carats. IT was $9,000. But he got it from his client who is a wholesaler. It is estimated for over $20,000. I love it and have been wearing it everyday.
would love to see a pic

I got just a 2mm platinum band for $200!!It goes perfectly with my e-ring - which also has a very thin band.
(Diamonds would have been nice too though!

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l
Our jeweler is custom making the wedding ring to match my e-ring - it will be marquis diamonds going point to point - platinum ring - this is costing $2,000
- he is also making the ring in a way that we can 'add' diamonds and turn it into an eternity band at a later dateBTW - my plain white gold band that I am getting married in (Jewish rules) is costing under $50!!

If money's no object, which it seems to be here on LI, then go for the expensive band. Why not?

It's not you, or this board, it's LI in general. Don't take personal offense to what I said, it wasn't directed at you.

Mine was $1200 all diamonds but it's a very thin band of tiny solitaires (maybe 1/4 carat total) but that is the ring that goes with my e-ring.Its a Ritani, Endless love.
I tried cheper plain platinum but I just didn't like how it looked.

Mine has 7 diamonds that equal just over a carat. I paid 650 for it at the Atias Flea Market. I love it. Everywhere else wanted 1500 and more for the same thing with diamonds that were not as nice.

Yes girls, I am wearing my wedding band already. Everyone thinks I am nuts. But really I don't see the big deal in it.I would totally go for the band that you want. I knew that if I got anything besides the eternity band, I would be disappointed. But that's me.

I did exactly what am470 did...I wore my wedding bands for over a year before our wedding! (We were engaged for over three years)I just loved them so much, no sense in letting them sit in a box!

If you are looking to save a bit than don't buy anywhere on Long Island when it comes to diamonds . You are lucky enough to live so close to n.y.c. go to 47th st. diamond district and get yourself a deal . Be smart and savvy and carful who you deal with but you will do so much better there. As for AM470 good for you way to go if you can get it God Bless I for one am happy for you and so should other people be, but it seems on this site you have to stay within everyone's budget or be cross examined.

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l
My band is $2500 and it is a platinum band with about .75 carats. I know it's pricey but this is the jeweler fi's family has used for years so we trust him. Also, I had the diamonds in the band upgraded to the coloring of my e-ring stone.Alot of people tell us to go to the flea market, but I just don't trust them and I would personally rather have piece of mind.
