In the OLD days of the late 80's, my high school had basically three groups: the preps, the jocks, and the burnouts. I was #3

I was friends with everyone. I was a band nerd too.. hee hee!!

I have no idea what FH was like in HS.. All I know is he was a tough guy but always stood up for the kids that got picked on.. I can see that too.. he is so wonderful!!!

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

Ahhh...memories...
I was Prom Queen, Miss Germantown - competed in County thing was voted by classmates, so I guess you could say I was popular, but by no means a snob as most people would think popular means. There were clicks in school, but I was always the one who would sit with my best friend Mikey at lunch. Then he'd run off to play basketball and I'd travel table to table visiting all my different friends in all the clicks. I truly like everyone and made it a point to be nice to everyone. Sounds cheesy, but I grew up in a small town, K-12 in one school. Grad class 50 - and that was considered large!

FH was different. His family moved a lot so he never made many friends. He was always the 'new kid'.

We grew up two totally different lives in two totally different areas. I'm very thankful for the life I lived. Nothing like small town communities to keep things real.
