Swan Club Update

There have been several postings on the board in the past suggesting that the food at the Swan Club may be questionable, and I myself was concerned about the food after my initial tasting. Since that time, I discussed my feelings with the Swan Club and while they were surprised (apparently they don't often hear negative reviews about the food), they went out of their way to help alleviate my worries. Having had a second tasting, I feel sooo much better about the situation, and am very confident that the food at our wedding will be quite good! As for the service, I cannot tell you how pleased I am with how polite, helpful, accomodating they have been about this. It just makes such a difference to spend your money happily with people who are a pleasure to work with. Two thumbs up for the Swan Club, and thanks for the advice, everyone!

I am having trouble thinking of a creative way to decorate it though. Any ideas?

My banquet manager was Charles, who treated us as if we were old friends or family. He was very up front with us, and took at least a couple of hours with us, showing us around, explaining everything to us, then leaving us alone to discuss with each other. Then he came back to answer all of our questions, and was even nice to us when we left, without booking, kissing me and my whole family goodbye, as if he were one of us. (If you're Italian, you'll understand the kissing thing)

Swan Club Update

I just went to a wedding at the Swan Club last month and I hope yours will be better than this one. The service was horrendous! Not once did a waiter or waitress ask if anyone at our table would like something from the bar and when we got up to get our own drinks they were quickly cleared away when we got up to dance! I mean full glasses, not even half empty and more than once someone at our table had to ask for another salad or pasta because the plates were taken away before anyone had a chance to eat anything.

Good luck!
