I think it depends on the formality of your event. I agree with ChristineAE.

I'm sort of going for whimsical details rather than formal. The presentation would be nice, though (in crystal bowls rather than scattered on the tables). I'm hoping that it would be a subtle detail that guests would enjoy.

I think that's such a cute idea, and a really creative way of expressing yourself!
I just saw a show on TV that showed a candy convention and the hottest trends in candy. They also showed that Peeps will be available for most holidays not just Easter in different shapes and colors...

Leave it to me to be a pain in the butt but if you have a table with any kosher guests, you can put them at the Chocolate Chanukah Gelt Coins table.

I think this is a really fun idea....this may be good for someone who is giving a donation instead of favors..this way they don't walk away 'empty handed'.....

you can get green hershey kisses for st patty's day and put them in those mini beer mugs.....

You can also do jelly beans for Easter, maybe Sno-Caps for winter?

I was thinking of having jelly beans at each table since our wedding is a week after Easter, but FH's family is jewish and it's after Passover, so what candy works with that???

Those kosher jelly candies that are in the shape of fruit wedges and covered with sugar. I used to love those!

ETA: or those jelly rings that are covered in chocolate. Growing up, I remember eating those two candies during passover.
