one of my bm's was invited to a friend of hers wedding( who I kinds knew)..I wasnt invited, we really arent friends...but BM kept asking me to come with her and her BF to the wedding( reception) and all..I said...ummmm...I wasnt invited and I think thats a big factor...she said oh..so and so wont care...um YEAH SHE WOULD! LOL!

I've heard that in some parts of the country, people basically just get invited by word of mouth, and anyone that wants to attend just shows up. No formal invites, no RSVPs and usually not a fancy, catered event. It's more casual. I have no idea how you'd plan for something like that when you have no idea how many people will be coming.

Ok....I had one person who never sent back the RSVP...so I emailed & called her. She finally emailed me back and said MAYBE! Maybe....is not an answer. She said she wasn't sure if she was going on vacation....this was only 2 weeks before the wedding! I finally marked her as a no...and another friend of mine says so and so is looking forward to coming to the wedding. I was like, she didn't even respond...she said she was going on vacation. So...I paid for her and she did actually come...but she was on her cell phone the entire time.

We had one of those to DH's cousins. They told MIL they were a yes maybe. I said that is a NO! MIL insisted that they would be there. Well, they no showed and we didn't hear from them for months and then one day we got a card.

I have gotten 3 RSVP cards with no names on them. They just say yes they are coming. Anyone want to tell me how to figure that one out.

Dang that's a tough one....Just hope that all of your other guests send back RSVP cards with names, then you can do process of elimination.

Like someone suggested earlier in the post, it really helps to number the cards before sending them out.

I am getting married in 2005 so I haven't gotten as far as to mail out invites, I can not believe the audacity of some people its truely amazing. Thanks girls for all the tips I will keep them in mind when doing my own and good luck to you all.

I can't beleive this one. FMIL says what color do you want me to wear. I said what ever you want. She calls FH and goes on about a beautiful white long dress she bought for $250.
HE says you can't wear white!!!! She says I was told I can wear whatever I want. Now she is mad at us! Hello!
