i just finished.... i really dont think DD is dead... i think they are just making it look that way...

nah. . .J.K. Rowling has said whenever she kills a character it is for real, b/c she wants to emphasize death is permanent.

DH did point out that when Dumbledore pleads, he isn't pleading for his life, b/c 'he wouldn't go out like a punk'. (Yes, those were DH's words.)

Anyway, I think he has a point, Dumbledore was pleading with Severus to just do it already, for reason not yet revealled.

It was probabaly to keep Malfoy from doing it & because of the Unbreakable Vow but there could have been additional or alternative reasons.
