Yes, they have paper selections out so that you can view and feel the sheet. You can buy by the sheet or by the reem (or case). In fact, they had four different weights of vellum...wouldn't be able to tell the difference without holding up a single sheet to the light :-)

I am getting married at the Metropolitan in October.

i purchased a headpiece and veil from davids bridal and once i got it home i did not like it. I did not know that it is not returnable. Should i take it back and see if they will refund my money or at least give me a store credit ???? i do not have $150.00 to waste. Has anyone had an experience at Davids of trying to return something???

Who did you guys pick for florists and music?

My sister used Maria Celeste for her wedding 2 1/2 years ago. She was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I can't say enough about her pictures, her professionalism, and her photography style. I would have loved to use her for mine, but unfortunately, her prices went up and it was too over my budget. But if you have the means, I definately recommend her! Good luck!

We haven't even looked at florists yet. We finally decided to go with a dj for the reception (Step 'n out sounds) but we are considering live music for the cocktail hour. We heard the Kende trio perform at our tasting and they were great so we are thinking about using them. Who did you go with?

We are using a band called Manhattan City Music, we haven't dealt at all with flowers yet, and are finalizing our photographer decision in the next couple of weeks.

We are deciding between Glen Mar and several more "independent" photographers in Manhattan recommended by friends and coworkers. It is a tough call! Who have you decided to go with?

Hello. Well this bride to be has the chance to be a guest soon! I am invited to a wedding in June and will need to take a plane and stay over. Does anyone have any suggestions of good websites to use. I am only familiar with Lowestfare.com and am curious if any of you have tried others.

You're right. It is a tough call- we looked at several photographers and finally decided on Grays Studio in Floral Park. We liked their album/pictures the best and are very happy with our decision. I would definitely recommend checking them out. If you want more details email me privately.

Other dad gifts (men are so hard to shop for!) could be things like a special book with a written message from you on the inside cover, tickets to a ball game for the dads or something along those lines.
