THE ROOM LOOKS SOOO much better!!!
The curtains and the lighter colors makes the room look so much bigger. The extension on the dance floor is also a nice. (even though I wouldnt have known)

Are you using the Mills Room? When I went to set up the menu they had not change the curtains yet.. What color are they?

Beige and White. They might not be new, but with the color of the paint, everything looked fresh... They put curtains were the stage was for the DJ I didnt remember those either when I went to book in October.

The chocolate fountain for 2 hours is $600.00

MUSIC- you need music for your cocktail hour, I thought the piano guy would be enough but nope, it wont be.. So make sure you book your dj for the cocktail hour.

So for the chocolate fountain... it is $600 no matter how many guests you have?

And why do you say that the piano guy wont be enough?

600 for up to 200 people. Once it goes over that its probably more. He did the price based on my count.

I asked him if the piano guy would be enough, he said you wont here it in the cocktail room... I thought you would till he told me no. Cause its outside the room. I already had my DJ booked, but told him I might not need cocktail music... So just to make sure I am going to have some soft music going in there...

Anyone else know about this???

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Posted by susieandsteven111905

I sat down with Mike, because my BM is gone....

The Martini bar is $400.00 for the cocktail hour.

The chocolate fountain for 2 hours is $600.00 I actually found an outside vendor who I was going to use who charges around the same price and its for 3 hours... Plus I think I will get more with her.... So I am going to use my own vendor...

I asked a ton of questions because I am a nervous nelly!!!

CANDLES!! you can use votive candle place card holders, you can also use candle centerpieces as long as you provide something to put them on...

MUSIC- you need music for your cocktail hour, I thought the piano guy would be enough but nope, it wont be.. So make sure you book your dj for the cocktail hour.

I asked about all the items Im making they will set it all up (even though I am still paying someone to go there and make sure its all correct, a friends sister is doing it for me)

THE ROOM LOOKS SOOO much better!!!
The curtains and the lighter colors makes the room look so much bigger. The extension on the dance floor is also a nice. (even though I wouldnt have known)

The BRIDAL SUITE OMG!!! IS SOOOOO much nicer, this was so dingy at first, and really turned me off, now with out that heavy furniture it looks FAB! (now if they can lighten up the foyer for pictures it would be 100%)

The food as always was great, I ate alot of the butler service, while fiance ate all of the Cheese stuff on the cold bar! LOL

I wish I had a camera with me, but I had went to the Huntington Hilton first, blocked rooms there its a really nice place! Alittle far 3miles, so we will probably get the shuttle... but somethings to know...

Hungtington Hilton, has a bar that stays open past 2 if your guests stay longer (probably wont happen but you never know)
They have a cute place for brunch the next day... which we are going to do with our guests and the price for the rooms were pretty good 109.

Shuttle is 470 (with tip included) so its not to bad.... We are waiting on booking the shuttle till after the rsvps for the hotel. Sending them out with the STD's.

Ok thats all of my input!!!

:)
Susie

Thank you so much for this information. By the way, did they do both rooms???? I have the downstairs, that's why.
JOAN

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Someone had posted that the chocolate fountain is $600 for 2 hours...but why would we need it for 2 hours, unless I am confused. Are people getting it for their cocktail hour or vienesse hour? Aren't those both only an hour long? Unless Woodbury is renting one on behalf of those requesting it, I'm not sure why the 2 hours is part of the package. I feel like we would only need it for one hour. Can someone please help me understand this because I really, really desperately want a chocolate fountain, but I'm not sure I want to pay the $600 for it.

Thanks!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Sorry...one other thing...Is anyone getting married at WCC around 12 noon or so? If so, what time are they letting you into the bridal suite? Are you getting ready there or at a hotel? Just trying to figure out where to get ready. I'd like to get ready in the bridal suite...especially now that they renovated it. Any advice?

Also, if the ceremony is to start at 12 noon, would you put an 11:30am invite time on your invite?

Thanks.

Okay...thanks for the info! Is Woodbury providing you with the fruit and stuff or are you getting that as part of your agreement with party xxtras?

Thanks for your help!

I am not booking a DJ for my CH even though you cannot hear the piano playing. Since mine it in and outdoors i think i can get away with no dj.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

You mean how low the music is? If you're having the cocktail hour inside and outside, you definitely can't hear the music from the outside. We hired a band member from our band to play for the cocktail hour outside if it is nice that day. If for some reason it rains, we just won't use him. For the inside, I doubt you would really need someone.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

You'll definitely hear it inside I would think. But I remember our BM telling us that we wouldn't be able to hear it outside. He was actually the one who advised us on hiring a keyboardist so that is what we ended up doing.
