Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Cool! Well, as long as it's done by my reception. If not, then not cool. Any idea as to when they'll be finished? I'm so curious as to what exactly they're doing.

I'm not sure about the time frame but I was told that there are plans for new carpeting, new ceiling tiles, rounded columns rather than squared off ones and french doors leading to the outside! I'm excited, that's my room! And I got the impression that the work is gradual in the off hours meaning they won't be gutting the entire room so don't worry.

When I called early about the menu, Bob said to call back mid-July--that they wouldn't do it before that. I would call and see if you could go by the end of this month. It's usually about 2 months before. When you do go, ask about the room and keep me posted. Now I'm sooo curious.

Oh, as far as the CH, I have worries too, but it's 15 tables outside and another 15 in the tented area so I think it will be ok. We'll just keep our fingers crossed for no rain!!

Our ceremony ends at 5 so we'll probably take pics at the church and then get to WCC by 6:30 to take more pics before the 7:30 CH.

What time does the church end and reception begin? Would you be able to get to the beach to take some pics on the boardwalk maybe?? That might be nice.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Hmm, that's true. Maybe you could take some pics by the water in Sea Cliff (ya know over by Swan Club and Sans Souci). Might not be quite as cold, and it is pretty over there (especially if you catch the sunset).

You are partially paying for the grounds so I would ask the BM if you can show up early for pictures and take advantage of the beautiful grounds.

When you do the menu do you need to have a picture of the cake you want as well?

Hmm, I was under the impression that they supplied a book of cakes for you to pick from. Not sure though?

I picked from a book of cakes that they have. I think you can switch them up a little (like remove columns and stuff like that). I didn't have a specific cake that I wanted so they might do that for you too if you bring a pic.
