Re: The Question People Hate Answering....

FI and I are paying, but my parents refuse to accept it. They want to help us out and won't take NO for an answer! So, they are contributing by paying for most of the enhancements towards our menu, our favors, our trumpeteers, our princess rolls royce and our flowers. I think that's it!

Just an aside, my dad bought me one of my first of a ton of wedding gifts from my parents---a pair of white beaded slippers from our trip to Greece this past summer, He said, 'For your tired feet at your wedding.' (He knows I love to dance!)

How cute is he??? I just love my Daddy!

Re: The Question People Hate Answering....

we are still in discussion mode! but it looks like the bulk of it our parents and whatever is left over us.

At this point we are talking major bucks especially since Mother inlaw is a big pain a needs to impress her friends, see her daugheter eloped so she needs to fulfill her mother of the bride with us.

this weekend is going to be hard we are getting together. God help me!

Re: The Question People Hate Answering....

My parents have said they will pay for most of it (I'm their only daughter and I think they're looking forward to planning and being creative), however FH's parents (divorced, remarried) have offered very generously to help out with some things, like our site fee and flowers. We might split the catering in thirds as well. FH and I plan to cover the misc. things like invites, favors, etc.
