Re: tipping maitre d and bridal attendants
That seems way to high. My hall says 2-3 per person for the maitre d & 100 for the bridal attendant. My cousin is in the catering buisness & he said $500 for the maitre d is enough unless you think they did a great job & $100 or so for the bridal attendant is enough.

Re: tipping maitre d and bridal attendants
My hall 'suggested' $1800. for the Maitre d. They did not even give me a range! They didn't say anything about the attendant, so am I to assume this includes both? I'd rather give them each a separate tip.ETA: this is for about 200 guests on a Friday night. They said that Saturday would be more!

That's a lot! I heard 3-5 pp, so it would be $1000 at most. I think you could also get away with $800 and you would be fine.

Re: tipping maitre d and bridal attendants
We tipped the Maitre 'D $400 which was a little more than $4pp. We gave the BA $75 and that was way too little.

I did about $3-4 pp for the maitre d and I think $100 for the bridal attendant and then my dad slipped more $ to her because she was SO nice.

Re: tipping maitre d and bridal attendants
I was told by my coordinator that the maitreD's is between $2 & 3 per person. $2 for good service $3 for very good service. I'm having a same day coordinator so I don't need a bridal attendant.

If there is a fee already in place, then no, you don't have to tip. The tip is for those that don't charge a fee (like my hall).
