Tips!

I know this topic has been exhausted here but is there someplace I can find a list of people that should be tipped on our wedding day? Also, how much they should these people be tipped? Thanks!!

If you want to compare it to a regular work day....we typically are given a full lunch hour. That's for an 8 hour work day. They're working close to 12 hours - and if I didn't feed them, they'd leave to go get food. I'd rather have them there just in case dinner ISN"T a full hour...so they don't miss anything.

Besides, it is illegal for my employer to ask that I work 12 hours without a coffee break and a a full lunch hour.

Tips!

Sarah - I wish I knew! My wedding is this Saturday and I still don't have any answers.

I am having my final meeting w/the banquet manager tomorrow evening. I will ask - if I get any answers, I'll be sure to let you know .

I do believe your proposal is very reasonable and I'm curious to know which other hall was "enlightened" enough to see it your way.

Tips!

I'VE BEEN IN THE WEDDING LINE BEFORE. USUALLY THE MAITRE'D GETS ABOUT $200 FOR HIMSELF, IF DESERVING. YOUR BRIDAL ATTENDENT COULD GET $50, WHILE THE FLORIST ABOUT $20-50 DEPENDING ON HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON YOUR WEDDING...LIMO DRIVERS ABOUT 20-50 EACH...BANDS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS DON'T GET TIPPED....THEY ARE INDEPENDENTLY HIRED FOR THE DAY...ALTAR BOYS IN A CHURCH USUALLY GET $5.00 EACH..AND SOMETIMES THE CHURCH CARETAKER GETS A CONSIDERATION...DON'T FORGET YOUR HAIR DRESSER IF COMING TO THE HOUSE AND YOUR MAKEUP PERSON IF DIFFERENT.THAT'S ABOUT IT.OTHERWISE THE FEELING IS TIP THOSE THAT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD! IF THEY HAVE TOUCHED YOU IN A SPECIAL WAY THEN OF COURSE TIP THEM "FOR GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR YOU"

THANKS!

Do we also tip the organist & singer?

Isn't that a good thing? Why doesn't everyone appreciate me being outspoken and giving advice about what they might not have been aware of?
