Today I cried....

I went for my 2nd fitting Today. My dad, who came w/me for my first fitting was there again. Since my mom died when I was 5, Dad has played both mom & dad....and is turning out to be a wonderful MoB! (even planned & hosted my shower!)

After the staff showed him how to secure my french bustle (how funny that was!!!), I turned to him and showed him the final product. He had this wonderful smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye......and I was so moved I cried.

It was 'our moment' - one I'll remember always.

My friend & I are planning to have a WEDDING PARTY after I get married. All our friends that are married already will come with their gowns on. I suggested to invite all those who have been the " bridesmaid never the bride ". We were planning on doing it this summer, but my friend ( the host ) just found out she was pregnant. :) So, next year it will be for the WEDDING PARTY. Its all girls of course! ( my fiance looked at me like I was CRAZY!)

I really can't imagine only wearing this once! (I told Paul I'd probably put it on from time to time and wear it around the apartment - and he just laughed at me!)

that is so touching!! it almost brought tears to my eyes. Imagine how you will feel on your wedding day!!!

Though I'm comforted to know I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

I went to observe another marriage ceremony 3 weeks ago to get an idea on the music they play at my church - I cried and I didn't even know anyone!!!

Ok you just made me cry. What a great moment. Things like that is what this is all about being happy and feeling such a great bond with the ones you love. I know that I have never felt closer to my parents and my MOH before. These are times I will treasure forever. Thanks and Good Luck!!

Today I cried....

I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BALL AT MY WEDDING. THE WHOLE YEAR OF PLANNING AND I CRIED FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. OTHER PEOPLE GETTING MARRIED EVERY SONG. I THOUGHT I WAS REALLY GOING TO CRY WALKING DOWN THE AISLE AND DANCING WITH MY DAD. BUT IT WAS SO STRANGE THE ONLY TIME I CRIED A LITTLE WAS WHEN I WAS IN THE LIMO WITH MY MOM AND DAD AND WE WERE TURNING OUT OF MY DEVELOPMENT TOWARDS THE CHURCH AND MY PARENTS GRABBED MY HANDS AND SAID SUCH BEATIFUL THINGS. OTHER THAN THAT I WAS SHOCKED THAT I HAD NO TEARS I GUESS CAUSE IT WAS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE EVERYONE WAS STUNNED THAT ME THE EMOTIONAL PERSON DIDNT SHED A TEAR.. SO ALL YOU LADIES OUT THERE WHO SHED TEARS OVER NOTHING YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED THAT YOU DON;T SHED A TEAR AT YOUR OWN WEDDING!!! GOOD LUCK..

Our Church is in Valley Stream and we are looking for a place for the reception in Nassau County ( or even close to the Boarder in Queens ). We plan to have 170 people and would like a place on the traditional side. Our budget is about $90 We are also looking for a "continuos cocktail hour" not a sit down.

Any suggestions ???
