Lord, this is the oldest Hollywood PR stunt in the book. Back in the 30's and 40's, the studio system used to pair couples up all the time and a wide eyed audiences used to lap it up. It still goes on, but people today are slightly more media savy and cynical.

Young ingeune sleeps her way to the top (or in this case 'marries' her way to the top). Gay leading man gets himself a beard (or three) to hide his homosexuality.

The reason this coupling is backfiring so badly is that Tom has apparently lost his mind and Katie is being shadowed by a Scientologist at all times, which is rather creeping people out.

And of course, they won't get out of our faces! They are worse than Ben & JLo, and that's a new low!

She used to have posters of him on her wall..she always wanted to marry him. Ya know, I had pics of Scott Baio on my wall and Shaun Cassidy but it would be too creepy to marry the poster..yikes!

i think it is all a fake but goodluck to them

okay everyone keeps saying thiss and either i am naive or just different but......the fact that they are together does not make me want to go see either of their movies.

Do people really go see more movies based on the fact that the two of them are now in the public eye more so than they were just a few months ago???

I mean yes they are surrounded by a media frenzy right now but all that means to me is I am going to see them on the news. I have no interest in either of those movies.
