Re: Warning: Strip Club Post::

Hi All,

I work for a strip club in the city- Penthouse Executive Club- I do all the events and marketing here.

So, I've seen MANY parties come through here, as I plan the majority of the bachelor parties.

Me personally (and I'm female, in case you were wondering)- I don't give a crap if my fiance goes to strip clubs. They are completely harmless, in my opinion. So what if it's dry humping? I guess it just doesn't bother me, I'm totally immune to the whole thing.
I definitely do understand all you guys freaking out a little bit, but since I work here and see what's going on, it doesn't bother me. You have to understand, that the 'strippers' aren't working here to find a boyfriend. THEY WANT MONEY! So, they are giving lap dances to take your man's cash! So, let the guys blow their money to get a false sense of attraction. Believe me, the whole time these girls are giving lap dances, they are thinking about doing their laundry, the errands they have to run, finding a baby sitter, etc.
All I told my FH is to get out of NYC, I don't want him to be here. Oh, and I just said no physical contact- like, I don't care if they hire strippers/hookers/girl-on-girl shows--- just NO contact. I trust my FH, and if he enjoys that, then go for it! It'll be the last time he gets to party like that, for sure.

Amen!!!

I have no prob w/ strip clubs- i know my man is coming home 2 me. its all in fun. a fantasy-i had a stripper at my bridal shower-my hubby knew-we trust each other. when us ladies go to strip clubs we can touch the men(not the packages of course) but the men dont get to touch the strippers ! the girls do all the touching and when they do get lap dances there is a big body gaurd there to keep watch.so i wouldnt worry about it.

I set a huge ground rule...

Go to a strip club and he can be the one to tell his family and mine why we aren't getting married.

He knows my personal feelings on strip clubs and not only that, I know how he would feel if I went to a strip club and it would be the same way as me.

He has no interest though... he wants to go to a car race.

My rules exactly! I have major problems with strip clubs and my man isnt allowed in one. He can go if he choses, but he'll come home to an empty house cuz i'll be out of there

Jeanine, I know exactly how you feel! I totally agree with you about the dry humping thing. I told my FI no champagne room LoL!! This is the worst part of the wedding planning process - thinking about his bachelor party.

I'm sure you trust him and I don't think he would do anything you wouldn't approve of. Try to relax and have fun at your bachelorette party!

I told him this:
Lap Dances are shady. It's dry humping. If he would be OK with me, dry humping some other guy, then he can get a lap dance.
I know that it might happen. Because no guy wants to be the stick in the mud. But I had better not ever learn of it. Or I will dry hump the first guy I see

Re: Warning: Strip Club Post::

hey girls...this is what works for me...i just let my FH understand that we have a certain trust with each other and that it would be bad to break it. if he conveys that he understands the importance of that, then that's all i have to know.

even though for all i know he could be getting 20 lapdances, until i know that for a fact, then it's just my wild imagination going to work and that won't do anyone any good.

of course, it works exactly the same for him as well. hehe

IMO its cheating if he gets a lap dance (I wouldnt be okay with it if some random girl started grinding on my FI half naked normally, so why would it be okay when she's getting paid for it???), and there is really no reason for him to be there. I dont believe in the whole 'last night of freedom' crap. JMHO. So, its not that he's not 'allowed' to go--he can go if he choses. But if he choses to go, then he also choses to end our relationship b/c its totally against my wishes. Doesnt matter much anyway because FI has no iterest in strippers for his Bachelor party anyway.

Re: Warning: Strip Club Post::

BOTTOM LINE :

If he knows it's something thats going to hurt you, bother you, whatever - HE SHOULDN'T DO IT...regardless of anything else. You are apparently the person he loves, and he should respect your feelings before being selfish and letting one night of random naked girls hurt the person thats supposed to mean the most to him.

Re: Warning: Strip Club Post::

I'm so lucky to be on this site. I feel better to hear that I'm not the only one who needs to let wild imaginations be put to rest. It's absolutely only in my opinion that strip clubs suck, and to me there is always another way to make a buck. But, what do I know until I would ever have to be put in that situation. It's hard not to judge, but important to trust. That's the key, and everyone is entitled to how they handle their relationship. I need you guys to remind me of this sometimes...thanks for the post!!

Re: Warning: Strip Club Post::

My FH went to one and I didn't set any rules because I knew he wouldn't do anything that he shouldn't but I also didn't care about the lap dances. I figure its just a guy thing and he wouldn't do more than that so why worry about it.
