Re: Wearing your veil at the Reception??

I'm doing it! This is my ONE and ONLY time in my life to be a bride.... I want to feel like one all day long with the veil.

Re: Wearing your veil at the Reception??

I wore it the whole time and loved it. Yes, it was a little annoying with people hugging me and tugging on it, but it stayed in. My veil was not removable, it came with the headpiece.

Re: Wearing your veil at the Reception??

My cousin wore her veil the whole night and I plan on doing the same. Otherwise you might blend in with the crowd, the bride should stand out the whole night. FH and I went to his friends wedding and the bride took off her veil immediately and she wore her hair down and she just looked too plain. I really like the look of the the veil and I would want to wear mine the whole night.

I disgaree with the comment about not standing out. I took off my veil after the ceremony and still stodd out. It's not like anyone else at the reception had a big poufy ivory dress and tiara.
I've seen several brides leave their veils on. I took mine off b/c my veil covered my hair and there was no point in paying $ to get my hair done if no one was going to see it. I also preferred the look w/o the veil. You should do what makes you comfortable.

Exactly whatever makes you comfortable and whatever your preference is. I just wouldn't called it weird if a bride left there's on.

Re: Wearing your veil at the Reception??

Mine is a cathedral length, so it's coming off for the reception. I'm pretty sure I'll stand out in my big white gown without the veil.

BTW has anyone ever been to a reception where the bride wore her veil at reception.
If you did, did you think it was weird???

I really , really want to do this, but I have never seen it done.

I actually wore mine the whole night.. i have always wanted to and so did I did..
The only time it actually cam eoff my head was when I was jumping around to the song jump around..
I felt like a princess w/ it on.. and I do not care if anyone thought it looked silly. I loved it..

Re: Wearing your veil at the Reception??

I'm keeping mine on for a few hours during the reception, then will probably take it off. Only because I love the back of my dress and I want to show it off!!!!

My cousin's wife wore her cathedral length for the ceremony and a shorter veil for the reception.

I thought I was definitely going to take mine off after the ceremony but I ended up leaving it on all night long.
